LA CLEMENZA DI TITO

The Colombian tenor began his vocal training as a baritone in his homeland at Universidad EAFIT. During his studies, he sang as a soloist in various concerts as well as several cantatas by J.S. Bach under the direction of Cecilia Espinosa Arango. In 2010, he moved to Austria to continue his studies. In Vienna, he worked with tenor Bojidar Nikolov, mezzo-soprano Rita Lucia Schneider and Florian Bösch, and participated in masterclasses with Helena Lazarska, Regine Köbler and Vesselina Kasarova. Furthermore, he sang in various concerts performing Latin American songs as well as opera and oratorio arias. In 2020, he completed his vocal studies with excellent success at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Prof. Annamaria Rott.
Among the most important roles he has sung as a baritone are "Il Conte di Almaviva" from Le nozze di Figaro, "Guglielmo" and "Don Alfonso" from the opera Così fan tutte and "Don Giovanni" from the eponymous opera by W. A. Mozart, as well as the role of the "Father" in Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel and "Figaro" in Il barbiere di Siviglia by G. Rossini. In summer 2019, he was engaged at the Kittsee Summer Festival as Escamillo in Bizet's Carmen.
In 2021, he decided to undergo a voice change and began his journey as a tenor with the help of Italian teacher Danusa Luknisova. In summer 2022, he made his debut in the role of Don Ramiro in Rossini's La Cenerentola at the Kirchstetten Classical Music Festival. One year later, he performed the role of Don Narciso in Rossini's Il turco in Italia at the same festival. In 2024, he sang "Il conte di Almaviva" in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia in Vienna. In summer 2025, he appeared in Kirchstetten in Rossini's L'occasione fa il ladro in the role of "Don Eusebio".
He regularly performs in concerts, among others with the Wiener Residenzorchester in Vienna.

Ellen Halikiopoulos studied classical singing and piano at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Elisabeth Berry-Flechl, Annamaria Rott and Peter Barcaba. She particularly expresses her love for operetta on stage in a wide variety of operetta roles, following her completion of the operetta programme under Wolfgang Dosch at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). Whether as Rosalinde in "Die Fledermaus", Countess Zedlau in "Wiener Blut", Hanna Glawari in F. Lehár's operetta "Die lustige Witwe" or the Electress in C. Zeller's "Der Vogelhändler". Most recently in Vienna, she was also seen in the two-person musical "Die Verführerin" by Paul Hertel. In addition to her teaching activities, she regularly performs on the concert stage as a vocal soloist with big bands, orchestras and bands. In her solo project, accompanied by pianist Sara Tahmasebi, she gave the world premiere of contemporary art song compositions by Peter Barcaba.

Alexandra Matloka is a dramatic soprano from Normandy. She discovered opera through American tenor Bruce Brewer, with whom she began her vocal training in 2003.
She made her professional debut in 2012 in the chorus of the Dijon Opera and with Raphaël Pichon's Ensemble Pygmalion. She performed her first role as a soloist in 2013 at the Nancy Opera, where she sang Yvette in Puccini's "La Rondine" under the direction of José Cura. From 2014 to 2016, she trained particularly with baritone Bernd Weikl in Hamburg, and from 2019 onwards with soprano Linda Watson in Vienna. She also participated in masterclasses with Soile Isokoski, Krassimira Stoyanova and Siegfried Jerusalem.
Since her debut, Alexandra Matloka has been heard regularly at various concerts in France, Germany and Austria; notably, she sang the role of Mimi in Puccini's "La Bohème" 55 times in several Parisian theatres. Most recently in Vienna, she performed roles such as Nancy in Flotow's "Martha" and Prince Orlovsky in Johann Strauss's operetta "Die Fledermaus".
In 2023, Alexandra joined forces with pianist Hélène Jeanney to form a duo. Together they offer concerts featuring French, German and Italian songs from the 19th century, inviting audiences on a musical journey through the finest works of this repertoire.
In 2025, she founded the opera ensemble Via Opera in Vienna together with soprano Ellen Halikiopoulos, director Anna Borodina, and baritone Michael Pinsker. Their first project centred on Mozart's "La clemenza di Tito" will soon be presented to Viennese audiences.

Michael Pinsker was born in Tübingen and now lives in Vienna. The baritone initially studied singing at the Conservatoire in Paris, where after his successful graduation he continued his studies with Malcolm King. Since then, he has expanded his wealth of experience through numerous masterclasses with KS Linda Watson, KS Franz Grundheber, KS Bernd Weikl, KS Helen Donath, KS Krassimira Stoyanova, Dame Felicity Lott, Alessandro Corbelli, Pietro Spagnoli, and Bruce Brewer.
In recent years, the artist has performed numerous roles from the operetta repertoire on stage, such as Prince of Ypsheim-Gindelbach (Wiener Blut / Strauss), Baron Zeta (Die lustige Witwe / Lehár), Frosch, Frank, Blind, and Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus / Strauss), Senator Delaqua (Eine Nacht in Venedig / Strauss), Würmchen and Schneck (Der Vogelhändler / Zeller), and Jupiter (Orphée aux Enfers / Offenbach). In the opera repertoire, he has portrayed roles including Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro / Mozart), Escamillo (Carmen / Bizet), Raimondo (Lucia di Lammermoor / Donizetti), Le Marquis de la Force (Dialogues des Carmélites / Poulenc), Colline (La Bohème / Puccini), Angelotti (Tosca / Puccini), and Zurga (Les Pêcheurs des Perles / Bizet). Michael Pinsker is also active as a concert singer, performing in the Requiems of Fauré, Brahms and Mozart, Dvořák's Stabat Mater, Handel's Messiah and Dixit Dominus, Bach's St John Passion and Christmas Oratorio, Puccini's Messa di Gloria, Mendelssohn's Die erste Walpurgisnacht, and Schumann's Mass in C minor. He can also regularly be heard in song recitals; notably with his favourite cycle Winterreise (Schubert), and in the French repertoire with Ravel's Mélodies (Chansons madécasses, Histoires naturelles).

Evgeniya Pewal: Mezzo-soprano who completed her musical training in Moscow and Vienna. With valuable stage experience in Austria and Italy, she has established herself as a versatile artist who has worked with numerous orchestras and conductors. She successfully toured Austria, Russia and Chile with the programme "Chopin-Viardot Mazurkas", performing at the prestigious Teatro Municipal de Santiago. Evgeniya's passion for music and her commitment to the performing arts are reflected in her captivating performances, which deeply move audiences.

The Vorarlberg-born soprano has been working as a music teacher at BG Klosterneuburg since autumn 2024. She completed her solo vocal studies at MUK and recently her IGP studies at MDW. In her youth, she gained musical experience at the Vorarlberg Music Theatre, the Bregenz Festival and in the field of church music in Switzerland; she gave her first solo performance at the age of 9.As a member of the Arnold Schoenberg Choir and other ensembles, her musical activities took her abroad under the direction of Claudio Abbado and Nikolaus Harnoncourt, in addition to participating in opera productions at the Theater an der Wien. As a soloist, she performed at the Wiener Festwochen and at Kostprobe at the "Muth", among others. Melanie Jäger gained experience as a permanent ensemble member at the Stadttheater Baden.

Anna Borodina was born in Western Siberia, Russia. She studied music theatre directing at the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow with Prof. George Isaakyan and at the MDW in Vienna with Prof. Beverly Blankenship. In 2017, she won the Young Directors Competition at the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg. In 2019, she was a finalist in Nano-opera, the international competition for young opera directors (TV Kultura / Helikon Opera Theatre, Moscow). In 2020, she worked as assistant director at the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg.
Her own productions include numerous operas – "Così fan tutte" by W. A. Mozart (Musikverein, 2024), "Le nozze di Figaro" by W. A. Mozart and "Mondo Novo" by P. Richards (both VSMF, 2022), "Martha" by F. von Flotow, "Lucia di Lammermoor" by G. Donizetti, "Bastien und Bastienne" by W. A. Mozart, "Abu Hassan" by C. M. von Weber (all at Oper in der Krypta Vienna, 2017 – 2024), "Rita" by G. Donizetti (MDW, 2016); operettas – "Die Fledermausine" by J. Strauss, "Die Dollarprinzessin" by L. Fall, "Der fliegende Rittmeister" by H. Dostal, "Der Vogelhändler" by C. Zeller, "Die Fledermaus" by J. Strauss (all with Ensemble Operattee, 2019 – 2024); concerts and semi-staged projects – JET Theater an der Wien concerts (Wiener Kammeroper, 2018), "Le Carnaval des animaux" by C. Saint-Saëns (Mariinsky Theatre, 2018).

Zikai Zhang received his first piano lessons at the age of four and has been awarded prizes at numerous international competitions. Concert performances have taken him to Austria, Germany, China and Italy, where he has collaborated with renowned orchestras.
His extensive experience as a répétiteur spans opera, operetta, choir and song. He was solo répétiteur at the Oper im Berg Festival with a particular focus on Verdi operas and served as choir répétiteur for the BachChor Salzburg. He has also worked as a class répétiteur with renowned vocal classes, including those of Barbara Bonney, Linda Watson, Elena Filipova, Marisol Montalvo, Alexandra Reinprecht, Akiko Nakajima, Yuly Khomenko and Maria Kahry. He has collaborated with conductors such as Marin Alsop, Masaaki Suzuki, Peter Berne, Marco Moresco, Patrick Murray and Hans-Friedrich Härle.
In 2022, he co-founded the performance group OPERAtor with other musicians and directed various opera and concert projects over a period of two years, working not only as a répétiteur but also in an organizational capacity.
Since autumn 2023, he has been studying vocal coaching for opera at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) with Kristin Okerlund. Previously, in 2024, he completed his master's degree in piano performance at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg with Prof. Gereon Kleiner. From 2021 to 2023, he also studied piano pedagogy (IGP) at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. During his studies, he also gained experience in ensemble conducting, new music and harpsichord playing.
